Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026. This policy explains what personal information Argos Trademark (“we”) collects when you use this website, call or email us, or order our services, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, country and company.
- Information about your brand and application, such as the name, logo or slogan, the goods and services, business and owner addresses, ownership details, and documents needed for a filing, for example examples showing how the mark is used.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the payment details you give it.
- Messages and call notes from emails and calls. We do not record calls. If that changes, we will tell you at the start of the call.
- Free name search. The name you send us when you use the free search by email.
- Website data. Our server logs record your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This site does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics. We will update this page if that changes.
How we use it
- To reply to you and give you quotes.
- To prepare and file applications, and to track deadlines and send reminders.
- To take payment and keep our records.
- To meet legal obligations and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To keep the website working and secure.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to provide the service:
- Your attorney. An independent US-licensed attorney, named in your engagement letter, reviews and files your application.
- The USPTO and other government bodies, as described in the next section.
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as Stripe for payments and providers of website hosting, email and record keeping. They may use the information only to provide those services to us.
- Others where the law requires or to protect our rights and the rights of others.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Trademark filings are public
Information in a trademark application becomes part of the USPTO public record. This normally includes the owner’s name and address and the mark itself, and anyone can search for it online. Other parties may copy and reuse public records. We cannot remove information from the public record once a filing is made. If you have concerns about which address to list, tell us before we file.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it to provide the service, to keep legal and tax records, and to resolve disputes. After that we delete it or remove what identifies you.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to certain uses. Email hello@argostrademark.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may not be able to delete information we must keep for legal records, or information that is already in the USPTO public record.
Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States, and information is processed there. If you are outside the US, your information is transferred to the US when you contact us or order a service. By doing so, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection rules can differ from those in your country.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect personal information. No website or email service is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or passwords by email.
Children
This website and our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
